| But if you prefer to go by road, there are two ways to go. The first one is by public bus, which are really good with very good services. You can take from Buenos Aires and the company name is "Via Bariloche". They will bring you till "El Bolson" city, where a 4x4 truck of the Cholila Lodge will pick you. |

| Another choice to go by road is to rent a car by any rental services. You may know that Cholila is far more than 1700 km (900 milles) from Buenos Aires and the last 300 km are thru a serpent road that goes from left to right many times, doing slalom, so if you are not an experience driver take another choice, specially in winter time were the roads use to have ice on it. |

| But the good point of travelling by road is the wonder sceanery you will see beside it. You will drive close by glaciar rivers going down from the high Andes mountains with beautifull and crystal waters passing by. |

| But, once you arrive to "El Bolson", where you will be pick up by Cholila expert guides, you will be carry on to the Lodge thru an offroad road not just because we take as an adventure, is just because there is no another choice regardless the unique spot you are visiting, really far from any human comunity. |

We consider that Cholila Lake Lodge is located in an exceptional fishing ground, is more, you are never far from a secluded fishing spot, because Cholila Lake Lodge is the only Lodge with its own runway.
Cholila Lake Lodge has artificial ponds where various species of fish are held in semi-captivity. In these ponds, there are sections where you will be able to simulate fishing experiences and try out various lures and flies in different weather conditions.

| You will be daily helped by local guides who are fully trained in local fishery techniques and places to go. |

| And, as you can see on the photos to follow, you can bring your own stuff for fishing too, as Charlene and Henry from USA did it. They had practise lake fishing floating with their equipments. |

| The results as shown. With a nice smile, Henry shows one of the rainbow trouts catch and release during a long fishing day that starts at 9 on morning and finished 5 on afternoon. |

| We took a rest at noon, for a quick lunch, prepared by Lucas, one of the local guides, drink some water and eat some good food, stretch a little bit our legs and keep going on. |

| After reparing our energies, Charlene and
Henry continue fly fishing all afternoon, till 5 pm.
If you prefer you can keep fly fishing even later depending on weather conditions (the day of these photos was pretty windy). You may try from lake to river fly fishing spots. |

If you are a crazy wind lover, like myself, and you practise some kind of wind water sport like windsurfing, or kitesurfing you will love to do it here. Cholila Lake can have good choopy waves on windy days and winds usually goes up to 30 knots, so 4 mts sails with 80 liters boards are welcome here. It is a very wonderfull lake for slalom runs, freestyle and jumping windsurfing. Neoprene need it, cause water is pretty cold.
If you enjoy horse riding, Cholila Lake Lodge get something like 10 horses available for riding the lake, the forest sorround it or wading rivers.
Ailin, a local horse guide at Cholila Lodge, is what we can call a local "gaucho". So if you though that gauchos were rough bearly guys, you mistake, look at this beauty and the idea of "gauchos" now will change for you. She is the third generation of a local family of the area, was arise in this wildness nature by her parents, and her love for horse comes from early years. Ailin is prepare to guide you thru many undiscovered places in the Andes riding good horses with security, enjoying the landscapes around.
Adventure horse riding tours can be held any time during the year and depends on weather conditions. Only during winter time, some horse tracks are no open (for secure reasons, this is The Andes, do not forget). Then, you can enjoy riding the South Patagonia any time, as you can see on the photo on the right where Ailin is enjoying with her horse. The place is ideal for horse riding into wildness. If you love horses, you should no miss this adventure package.
Another activity you can do at Cholila Lake Lodge is bird watching. If you enjoy natural photography or bird watching, the place is full by many unique species of birds, animal and flowers. Feel the nature walking the deep forest discovering and talking camera shoots of wilderness or visiting the National Parks that sorround the area.
