| Jorge Escauriza, the owner and responsible for the "Casona la Ruchi" is a very friendly guy. He is always smiling and eager to help you in anyway. Her daughter Alejandra is the one in charge on booking and hotel administration and you can feel the best kindness from them and Dorita (the mother). So if you like to feel better than at home, here is the place to stay, a wonderful house with a lovely family caring for you. |

The place is just wonderful. The area is cool and quiet with trees surrounding a beautiful house from 50 years ago all refurbished to new. |
![]() |
The place contains a good pool for summer time with a wooden deck as solarium. You can practice swimming, volley (there is a court right beside the pool not seen on the picture), there are wooden games for kids, ping- pong table and a gym is being built. But if you want to do nothing and relax, the place has plenty area for walking and relaxing between tiny streams and forest. |

Accommodation is very comfortable. It counts with 7 double bedrooms and fees goes from 60 to 70 U$S per night with all services included (breakfast, private bathroom, satellite TV, phone, etc.). |

If you plan to go with kids, there is no problem, there are rooms available with another private room with separate beds for them with all the same services (own TV with satellite TV, air condition, heaters, etc.) and you can see the river from the window. |

Another way to reach is by private boats. Most locals from Buenos Aires City do it this way and if you want to, you can rent one too for coming. "Bosque de Bohemia" has its own place for parking private boats and step by to take lunch or spend a wonderful day enjoying the place. |

If you plan to take lunch the cuisine is best. One chef and two cookers define an exquisite menu for all tastes. Here, on the photo, I was sharing lunch with my cousin Carlos and kids (Anahi and Nacho) tasting some good "parrillada" for them and some fry mozzarella cheese for me. Good wine, orange juice and mineral water to have a wonderful time. You can see the real forest at the back like a painting hanging on the wall. |

The owners are Monica and Fernando (on the photo) and Cecilia and husband (not here). Very beautiful people with one philosophy, they will treat you as they like to be treated, so hospitality is best of the best. A very good place to come and stay |

Where to eat? You may choose from many options in Tigre City (the continent) or in the Delta. From typical Argentinean barbecue (parrilladas), to exclusive international cuisine, including vegetarian meals (my preferred ones). Here you have some:
Restaurants -
Parrilla (meat) La Riviera - Location: In the Delta on Sarmiento River just 35 min. by boat from boat station, Interisleña lines - dock 1. This is one of the very first places in opening a restaurant for tourists. It is working since 1943 with good "parrilladas" (Argentinean barbecue), pastas, pizzas and sandwiches. You can also have some coffee, beer or a tea. The area is also very nice to visit, it is called "Las tres Bocas", and cause three rivers join together. Service is very good and attendance too. Tel.: (5411) 4728-0177. Web Site: www.la-riviera.com.ar |

| The place is run by Rosana Di Mecola, an Argentinean born from Italian father who came to the country many years ago, like many others. She received me at her house, a typical classic one of late XIX century, built on 1898. We arranged a one day excursion into "Bonanza" services (includes a good lunch, 30 min. canoeing, hard dry trekking, wet trekking, bird watching, photo safari and horse riding). Pretty tough but I enjoy it very much. |

First we started rowing on a canoe for almost an hour, discovering very quiet places like the lake on the photo. We continued hearing the silence around us only disturbed by some bird songs from time to time. The experience was just incredible and Rosanna’s explanations were very professional. She speaks English, Italian and Spanish of course. |

After that we did some trekking (6 km for dry and 2 km for wet land) till we met the horses. They were amazing, behaving like dogs, Rosana called them and they came running from far away till we reached and came close enough to touch them. Beautiful. Later, when the afternoon was almost over, on my way home I kept to myself the experience of a wild and natural day. |

Come on and discover the Delta of Tigre city. It’s only 50 minutes far from Buenos Aires by a direct train, so next time you come to Argentina and step by in Buenos Aires; you can relax in a wonderful natural place like the Delta, some unique area very close the big city. Come on, plan to stay at least a week and enjoy the many options this area offers. I spent 15 days there and it seemed it wasn’t enough, I know I will return, I promise that to myself.
Any inquire do not hesitate in contact me. Regards
