- X-TRAME SPORTS ADVENTURE EXPOSITION
Diving in South America is quite an experience, you can go down into Glacier Lakes like the huge Nahuel Huapi Glacier Lake beside the Andes in Bariloche city, pretty cold, pretty deep (it is said that has more than 400 meters.), there is nothing to see, just pure crystalline water and deep blue and black. You got really an x-treme sensation because is like being alone into the black space almost. We had done it on night too and was....ouggghhhhhhh..... blow out our minds.
Also a wonderful spot to dive is San Jorge Gulf in Puerto Madryn, the Atlantic Ocean, full of Whales, sea lions, Orcas and penguins. Is really amazing. There are some ship skunked there too where you can go on expedition and are not too deep, between 10 and 15 meters.
Another dream experience is diving in Beagle Channel, but that is for really experience divers. The water is 3 degrees over cero, pretty cold, but wonderful. We got once the opportunity of diving between "calderones" (huge black dolphins of over 4 meters. long) and in another occasion we saw a community of "centollas" (gigantic crabs) all together (thousands and thousand tide together) to not be eaten by Orcas.
The water here in South Atlantic Ocean and into Glacier Lakes is very clear with over 10 meters of vision, almost crystalline water.
An excellent spot too is Mar del Plata city, 400 km down Buenos Aires city beside Atlantic Ocean. You can see sharks, turtles and huge sea lions.
In Brazil you can find wonderful places of warm and hot water close by Porto Seguro in the North, into the coral reef of Corola Bermella, Arrajal de Ayuda, Santo André, etc. These are very easy diving, with plenty colorful fishes and flat water. Is most a "Caribbean way" of diving.
